Do you have a 3rd – 6th grade aspiring youth at home that loves playing Minecraft? Wish they could also learn the basics of computer science and design engineering?
Welcome to Session 3 of Redstone Engineering with Minecraft! In this installment, youth receive the opportunity to collaborate with peers as they implement and refine their knowledge of engineering and troubleshooting skills. During this session, Jr. Engineers acquire plots of land and are tasked with designing and building a contraption/project utilizing guidelines and specifications received during class. The culmination of this course will showcase Jr. Engineer’s designs as they collaborate with peers to build a single large-scale ‘gigantic’ circuit that enables them to unlock the ‘ruins’! Learning to utilize these new ‘keys’ to advance their own engineering and design skills, while engaging with peers is an essential part of this session.
The final project includes engaging and collaborating with the entire class to showcase their collective designs and contraptions on a high-level, virtual community project. This class is awesome, sign up today!
Participants enjoy a unique gamified learning experience and develop and practice new skills such as:
- Critical Thinking
- Problem Solving
- Math Skills
- Creative Expression
- Social/Emotional Learning
- Basic Circuitry
